Two Josie Music Awards nominations for Open Road

Open Road has two nominations at the 2026 Josie Music Awards: Song of the Year — Country Male for Kris Anders, and Best Actress in a Music Video for Giuliana Carbone. James Alton directed, produced and photographed the video across the Okanagan.

Awards and recognition

Two nominations for Open Road.

The official 2026 nominees list includes Kris Anders' Open Road in Song of the Year — Country Male (Division C), and Giuliana Carbone in Best Actress in a Music Video.

The Josie Music Awards selected this year's nominees from more than 101,000 submissions.

About the music video.

James directed, produced and photographed Open Road, with Kelowna Film Studios as the production company.

The video moves between Kris performing beside a pickup in a forest clearing, a red convertible on the road, horses on the farm and the band playing inside the bar.
